[English Vocab] Interesting vs. Funny

Did you know that “He's interesting.” ≠ “He's funny.” ?

When something is interesting, it is unusual and oftentimes exciting. For example, “That’s an interesting idea. Tell me more.”

But when something is funny, it makes you laugh. For example, “I don’t think this joke is funny at all.”

So “He's interesting.” mean that he is different and perhaps fun to be around while “He's funny.” means “He’s humorous. He makes people laugh.”
