Movie Dubbing is a great exercise for the super effective method called "shadowing". In this course, Melody teaches you how to voice over popular movies/series/video clips to imitate the original speakers. This will help you sharpen your ears, develop your listening and speaking skills, learn the most authentic slang, understand the culture of the target language, and fall in love with learning!
For example, you can learn how to speak like the actors from "Friends", mimicking their tonality and intonation to resemble a native speaker as close as you can.
How Does it Work? (With China phone number)
1. On your phone, install the app 英语趣配音 and register an account.
2. We can suggest you some clips according to your English level, or you can pick your own!
3. Choose your desired clip, and begin your dubbing.
4. Once you've completed your dubbing, send us the result and we will provide you feedback and tips to improve!
*You might not be able to register an account without a phone number from mainland China.
How Does it Work? (Without China phone number)
1. On your phone, install the app 英语趣配音.
2. You can only access the app by using links sent by us, in order to bypass the phone number verification page (as shown below).
3. Make sure the app is not running in your phone background, then click on the link sent by us. This will prompt you to open up the app, and you should see the dubbing page (as shown below).
4. Now you can begin your dubbing.
5. Once you've completed your dubbing, use the screen recording feature on your phone to record your dubbing result.
6. Send us the result and we will provide you feedback and tips to improve!
